For all intents and purposes Rahshaun Haylock was a step behind when he knocked on the doors of KBPK and found Ed Ford in 2005. He had recently graduated from Cal State Northridge and the only experience he had calling games was at home with the sound on his television turned all the way down. When afforded the opportunity to begin calling high school football games for KPBK and SportsNetUSA.net, Haylock found it to be as exhilarating as any of his dreams would have allowed. KBPK not only provided a platform for him to begin his career but a family atmosphere from which to grow and learn. "The fine folks at KBPK not only believed in me and encouraged me but were also incredibly honest," Haylock said. "They told it like it was. No filter. That was one of the things I appreciated the most."

The opportunities at KBPK led to further play-by-play chances for Haylock with Vootage.com, Comcast Cable, City TV Sports, and ProAngle Media. It also led to national TV appearances on Versus (now NBC Sports Network). Haylock has also been a web reporter for KCBS2/KCAL9 in Los Angeles. He is currently a writer and reporter for FOX Sports West in Los Angeles and the voice of Golden West football on SportsNetUSA.net.
