Jim has long been involved in Christian radio, starting his professional career at KGER AM Long Beach, CA. He then went to KYMS Santa Ana, CA where he was the afternoon drive air personality and music director. Jim moved to KKLA in 1993 where he is the morning show host. Despite waking up early, he still loves radio. "There's the excitement and reward of relating to the listeners, as Jim Bain used to say, everybody listens 'one at a time.' It's always a fun and lively atmosphere, and it's just a blast being in a career where I enjoy going to work each day." Orange County Christian radio listeners who have missed Jim and KYMS will now be able to hear him on 95.9 the Fish, KFSH Anaheim, CA.
Jim felt his time at KBPK was well spent in developing the building blocks for a career in radio. "I learned a great deal about the business of radio, and a lot about myself as well. I recall my time at Fullerton College with great fondness. Every instructor that I worked with was dedicated and loved radio!"
