As part of KBPK's on-air staff, Dave always had you laughing. When asked what he got out of his radio training at KBPK, his response was, "You mean besides a couple of bad relationships with girls?"

Dave Lewis was also adept at calling the play-by-play for football, basketball and baseball. Dave began his professional radio career at KGGI Riverside, CA (99-1) as the weekend overnight guy. He moved up to fulltime nights a short time later, where he put up big numbers in the ratings.

After a brief stop in San Diego as the swing man at Q106, Dave went on to do nights at KWSS San Jose, CA.  After two years "Doctor Dave" landed weekends at WILD 107, KSOL San Francisco.

He worked his way up to be the morning show producer for morning madman Mancow, then became the fulltime overnight air personality. Dave left San Francisco, but not his heart for radio segueing back to San Jose to do afternoon drive at Hot 97-7 KHQT. He was also sports director at the station.

Dave left being a disc jockey in 1995 to pursue a sports broadcasting career fulltime. "I just couldn't see being a jock for more than ten years," said Dave. He then set up his own sport broadcast company and gained the radio rights to Santa Clara University basketball. Dave will call the play by play as he heads into his sixth season. Dave is also heard all along the West Coast as a sports reporter on San Francisco's KCBS AM and as a news reporter on KSFO San Francisco.
