Bill is the guy who helps make your drive to and from work easier as he patrols the vast LA freeway system from the air. Not only is he on-the-air, he actually in the air, flying Sky 5 reporting for KTLA Channel 5. You also hear him reporting live in the sky on KNX 1070AM Los Angeles. Bill is a licensed airplane and helicopter pilot. If that isn't enough, he works weekends on Westwood One radio network's Mainstream Country format.  So you can hear Bill on 175 stations across America.  I like creating something new everyday on the air whether I'm doing a music program or a news broadcast. I like knowing that no matter how bad last night was, how bad the drive to the studio was or how much the mortgage on my house is, I still have an exciting job in the broadcasting business."

Bill thinks he made the right choice by starting at KBPK. "Without the skill, expertise and generosity of the instructors in the radio program at Fullerton College, my colleague's and I would have had a much more difficult time establishing our careers. The alternatives back then were going to one of the broadcasting trade schools, all of which were charging a small fortune." Bill started his professional career at KWIZ FM Santa Ana, CA, and has worked in a variety of formats and stations during his radio career. Back then, he used to fly through the streets and freeways on his motorcycle (always a thrill seeker). Another big thrill was when Bill was part of New York radio legend Scott Shannon's morning show on Pirate Radio (KQLZ FM) during it's run in Los Angeles.

His advice to those seeking a career in radio broadcasting, "Now, many years later, I can look back with great appreciation at the many opportunities that the radio program at Fullerton College has afforded so many of us. To the up and coming generation of broadcasters, I can honestly say that their best opportunity at an affordable and quality education begins with the radio program at Fullerton College.
